Ken Erdman has spent nearly a decade in the financial services industry with one consistent purpose: helping the people around him not just see their potential, but actually reach it. For Ken, financial planning isn't about products or portfolios. It's about people. It's about sitting across from someone, understanding what they're working toward, and building a strategy that gives them the clarity and confidence to get there.
Originally from Quakertown, PA, Ken made his way to Lancaster County to attend Millersville University and never looked back. He's put down real roots here, in the community, on the rugby pitch, and in the lives of the clients he serves.
What Drives Me
One of the things that always bothered me about this industry is the barrier to entry. Insanely high minimums. Fees that price out the exact people who need help most. Financial professionals who will only sit down with you if you already have enough money. That never made sense to me.
I started in financial services to explore how I could help people. Then it became a passion. My goal is to make financial planning better, more affordable, and accessible to everyone, because financial topics aren't taught in most schools, and most people are figuring it out alone.
I don't have minimums that price people out. I work with people who are serious about their future, regardless of where they're starting from. A simple conversation can change the trajectory of someone's life. I know that firsthand.
"A simple budget conversation would have changed my family's life. That's why I do this work."
Ken grew up seeing what it looks like when families don't have access to real financial guidance. That experience shaped everything about how he approaches this work and who he chooses to serve.
The Rugby Brotherhood
I've been playing rugby for 15 years. And what the game gave me goes far beyond the sport itself. The rugby community is something I genuinely can't live without. These are brothers I can call on for anything. Life, death, breakups, breakdowns, job losses, or just needing someone to talk to. No matter how much time passes or where everyone ends up, rugby has always been there to pick each other up.
That's shaped how I think about everything, including financial planning. The mantras in James Kerr's book Legacy are things I live and breathe every day. Sweep the sheds. Leave the jersey in a better place. Serve something bigger than yourself. That's the energy I bring to this work and to this community.
